Is Chrissy Teigen on Ellen DeGeneres list to replace her as talk show host?

Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly considering retiring from her chat show.

The 61-year-old television host is said to be stepping down as the host of her daytime celebrity chat show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and is considering the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Neil Patrick Harris and Ellie Kemper as her replacement.

A source told to Life & Style magazine: “Ellen is retiring from her Emmy-winning daytime talk show at wife Portia de Rossi’s urging and has already drawn up a shortlist of superstars to fill her dancing shoes. Ellen’s reached out to a few guest hosts who have filled in for her in the past. It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one she’ll be making soon.”

The publication reported earlier this year that the presenter was set to leave after “years” of her wife Portia “begging her to leave”. They said: “Ellen’s finally quitting Hollywood. After years of Portia begging her to leave her talk show behind, she’s finally relenting. Warner Bros were prepared to offer Ellen more money to stay but she promised Portia that this time, nothing would change her mind.”Although it has been claimed Ellen is set to leave the show behind, the star insisted last year that she has no plans to slow down anytime soon as she loves her job so much. She previously said: “I don’t know what I’m looking forward to. That’s why I’m going to keep doing this until I figure that out. I’m not looking forward to retiring because I love doing this.”

And Ellen admits she is “shocked” every time she remembers she has reached six decades of life. Speaking before she reached the milestone, she added: “I’m shocked that I’m turning 60 because it just sounds horrible. It just does.”

Chrissy Teigen Went On Family Feud And Lost Part Of A Tooth

Family Feud is a vicious game. Do not play unless you are prepared to chip a tooth, as Chrissy Teigen did recently! The cookbook author and Twitter auteur recently went on the show, only to leave with a chipped tooth.

“I can’t say if we won or lost family feud but we definitely brought a flask, I definitely chipped a tooth and there was definitely a record set,” Teigen wrote on Instagram.

The record to which she’s referring appears to be… most teeth chipped during a taping of Family Feud? Teigen’s episode will air soon, so the tooth-chipping is still a bit of a mystery. (Did she slam the buzzer with her teeth?) Regardless, the episode is looking good: Teigen and her family faced off against the cast of Vanderpump Rules, a show which Teigen openly adores.

Chrissy Teigen, reigning leader of Twitter, versus Pump Rules, Twitter fave? Well, it’s not Lady Gaga versus Glenn Close (which Saturday Night Live did this weekend), but it’ll do. All’s fair in love and Family Feud!

Chrissy Teigen’s episode will air Sunday 24th February!

Chrissy Teigen To Host City Harvest’s 2019 Gala

City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization, announced today that Chrissy Teigen, TV host, model, and bestselling author, and Antoni Porowski, Emmy Award-winning TV personality, actor, food expert, author and restaurateur, will co-host City Harvest: The 2019 Gala, on April 30. Teigen and Porowski are also members of City Harvest’s Food Council, a group of culinary experts and top chefs that support the organization’s work to rescue good food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver it to New Yorkers in need.

The event will honor Richard Gere, Golden Globe Award-winning actor and activist; Marc Granetz, MG, Chief Administrative Officer, JPMorgan Chase and City Harvest board member, and his wife Kris Granetz; and Michael White, Chef and owner of the Altamarea Group, which includes two Michelin-starred Marea, one Michelin-starred Ai Fiori, and Vaucluse. Each of these honorees has shown tremendous commitment to supporting City Harvest’s mission to help our neighbors in need put meals on their tables.

“Feeding people is my passion, and as a mom, nothing is more important to me than making sure my family has nutritious meals,” said Teigen. “With more than 1.2 million New Yorkers struggling to feed themselves – including one in five children – so many families are relying on City Harvest to get healthy food on their tables. I’m thrilled to host the gala this year with my friend Antoni and raise awareness of this important work.”

“Like many of us, I am privileged to call New York City my home, and with this privilege comes the responsibility of ensuring none of its citizens go hungry,” said Porowski. “It is of utmost importance that we take care of one another just as we would a guest in our own home. I’m honored to join my friend Chrissy Teigen to host City Harvest’s gala this year and help support the critical work they do feeding New Yorkers in need.”

“We’re honored and excited to have our long-standing friends, Chrissy Teigen and Antoni Porowski, co-host the City Harvest 2019 gala. We know their energy, humor, and commitment to our work will make it a memorable and very special night, and we’re so grateful to them for supporting our work rescuing and delivering food for New Yorkers in need,” said Jilly Stephens, City Harvest’s Chief Executive Officer.

City Harvest: The 2019 Gala will take place at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan. The event brings together celebrities, influencers, and NYC’s high profile individuals, and is the organization’s most important fundraising event of the year. It features an elegant dinner with live and silent auctions. Past attendees have included Julianne Moore, Chelsea Clinton, John Legend, Cynthia Nixon, and Martha Stewart. Chef supporters have included Eric Ripert, Geoffrey Zakarian, José Andrés, Tom Colicchio, Marc Murphy, Marcus Samuelsson, Donatella Arpaia, and Ted Allen. City Harvest’s 2018 gala raised nearly $4.7 million, enough to help feed more than 17,000 New York City families for a year.
